About SDSU Pre-Dental Organization

A Group with a Common Passion

In 2000, SDSU Pre-Dental Organization was founded when a group of individuals decided to turn their shared interests into an official College Club. After a couple of quick meetings, we were on our way to creating something extraordinary.

With time, we’ve grown into a more serious and mature organization, allowing us to take our interests to new levels. When you decide to join us, you too will gain access to various events and, more importantly, to a community of people who are just as passionate as you are.

President

Olha Kushnir

Hey everyone, my name is Olha Kushnir, and I am so excited to serve as the president of the SDSU Pre-Dental Organization this school year! I am a third-year biology major from Chicago, Illinois. My main motivation for pursuing dentistry is my passion for building others' confidence and making people smile. I enjoy the creative hands-on aspect of dentistry, and I believe it is a very rewarding profession. I look forward to making a positive impact on the community I serve! In my free time, I love to hike, bake, and spend time with family and friends.

Internal Vice President

Nicholas Konja

My name is Nicholas Konja, I am the Internal Vice President for the SDSU Pre-Dental Organization. I am a third year Biology major from San Diego, California. The main reason for me when it comes to becoming a dentist is to make a positive impact towards my community and around the world. I enjoy working out, fishing, hiking, and spending quality time with friends and family.

Kyce Haddad

Hello everyone! My name is Kyce Haddad and I am the External Vice President this year for the Pre-Dental Organization. I am a third year Biology major, and I was born and raised in San Diego, California. My desire to pursue a career in dentistry is rooted in my passion for serving others, along with the operative, art-like, nature of dentistry. Knowing that I am pursuing a career which is both personally fulfilling and positively impactful for my future patients motivates me along my journey. I enjoy spending time with my close family and friends, hiking, weightlifting, and playing soccer.

Lauren Gilbert

My name is Lauren Gilbert and I am the 2024-2025 Secretary for the Pre-Dental Organization at SDSU. I am a fourth year Biology major from Harlingen, Texas. I chose dentistry as my future career path because I want to help change the stigma surrounding dentistry for a better patient care experience. I enjoy going to the beach, seeing new places, and hanging out with my cat!

Treasurer

Nick Ahwal

Hello everyone! My name is Nick Ahwal and I hold the position of Treasure for this year San Diego State Pre-Dental Organization. I am currently a 4th year student majoring in Biology. I was born in New York; however, raised in San Diego, California, where I have lived most of my life. I chose dentistry as a career because it allows me to make a positive impact on people’s lives by improving their oral health and boosting their confidence. The hands-on nature of the profession, along with the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with patients, makes it both fulfilling and inspiring. I enjoy traveling, working out, and spending time with my close family and friends.

Hello my name is Sara Fragoso and I am the 2024-2025 Social Media Chair for the Pre-Dental Organization at SDSU. I am a third year Biology major from Las Vegas, Nevada. I chose dentistry because of my passion for helping others and for art. I hope to help those who have fears of dental work and to help those who cannot access dental care. I enjoy weightlifting, baking, spending time with loved ones, and pinterest.
